Technical Description
Due to the clear, straightforward layout of this materials tester, tests can be observed in detail during all phases; this is rarely possible on industrial testers. Nevertheless, the capacity of the tester is sufficient to carry out tests of an industrial nature. Simple operation and robust construction make the tester particularly suitable for student experiments.
The tester is a vertical, hydraulically operated pillar tester with direct generation of both tensile and compressive forces. The height of the lower cross-member can be adjusted in steps for coarse adjustment. Cylindrical receptacles on the cross-members make the different experimental setups easy to change, e.g. wedge grips (accessory WP 310.05, as shown in pic. left). For experiments specimens according DIN 50125 can be used.
Force and displacement are recorded by sensors, displayed and can be processed on a PC.
