Technical Description

The sediment feeder essentially consists of a vibrating conveyor, via which sediment is evenly introduced into the experimental section. The feeder is usually mounted above the inlet to the experimental section. The sediment used is sand with a grain size of 1...2mm.

The feeder is mounted on a walk-on platform that is installed next to the experimental flume. This ensures convenient operation. Another advantage of the separate platform is that the feeder vibrations do not affect the experimental section.

HM 163.73 is used together with the sediment trap HM 163.72.
